Eirún Sigurðardóttir - Period II
Eirún Sigurðardóttir graduated from the Icelandic College of Art and Crafts( Iceland Academy of the Arts) in 1996 and studied at Hochschule der Künste Berlin ( Berlin University of the Arts) from 1996-1998. In 2014 she graduated from the University of Iceland with a postgraduate Diploma in Applied Gender Studies.
She has been living and working in Iceland since 1998 except in 2003-2005 when she had her base in Berlin. Her works have been shown in Iceland and abroad and are owned by the main museums of Iceland. She is a part-time teacher at the Iceland Academy of the Arts since 2001.
Eirún is a founding member of the visual art collective The Icelandic Love Corporation (ILC) which was founded in 1996 and is collaborating and exhibiting worldwide.
